Weatherization
The Weatherization Assistance Program is designed to improve efficiency, household safety, and to educate the public. The goal is to reduce the cost of energy for low-income families and children, the elderly and the disabled.
Who’s Eligible?
Applications are accepted for the Weatherization Program at any Middle Kentucky Community Action office locations in Breathitt, Owsley, Lee and Wolfe Counties. Homeowners or renters can apply.
The following chart shows the income guidelines by household size and yearly gross income.

How To Apply?
Visit any Middle Kentucky Community Action office and bring the following items:
¨ Previous months income for ALL household members
¨ Deed (for house) or Title (for mobile home).
¨ 12 month usage history on electric and natural gas bill (can be obtained from utility company).
¨ Social Security cards for all household members and Photo ID for head of household.
